Joe Jackson heeft de strijd tegen kanker verloren. De vader van Michael Jackson werd 89. Joe Jackson lag al een maand in het ziekenhuis met terminale kanker en bezweek woensdag. Joe Jackson startte met zijn kinderen de wereldberoemde 'Jackson 5' op, bestaande uit zijn zonen Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon en Michael. Zelf was hij manager.
Michael Jackson overleed al in 2009. The King of Pop overleed aan een hartstilstand.
